This is my first read by Mr. Sewell and I was really impressed. Although this is an erotic novel, the storyline will keep you glued to your seat. The end was very shocking. I loved it!!

This was a beautiful love story with just a pinch of drama. Although the drama could have gotten out of control, Ms. Wells did an awesome job of showering the readers with a fairy tale romance novel that you did not want to end.

Big Girls Do Cry Carl Weber
Synopsis: New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber cranks up the heat in this explosive follow-up to Something on the Side—a novel of friendship, family ties, and the bonds—and betrayals—of love…
Isis and her sister, Egypt—two of the original curvaceous members of the Big Girls Book Club—have hightailed it out of New York and settled in Richmond, Virginia, where they've started a new chapter of the BGBC. The same rules apply here: You must be at least a bodacious size 14 to join.
Living in the plush suburbs, Isis has it all—almost. The thirty-seven-year-old plus-size beauty is happily married to Rashid, and they're living in the lap of luxury. There's just one thing missing. They want to start a family.
Enter Egypt, who's moved into her sister's McMansion with dreams of starting over. There's just one hitch: before her sister married Rashid, he was Egypt's man for ten years. Egypt thought she was over him, but the close quarters are giving both her and her sister doubts. She's ready to pack her bags until Isis and Rashid ask her for a serious favor. Egypt knows she shouldn't get involved, but she can't say no to her sister—even if the price might be way too high for them all.
Egypt isn't the only one with drama. Rumor has it that Loraine—Isis's brilliant boss and one of BGBC's newest members—is in the running to be her sorority's next national president. But Loraine has more than one secret that will ruin her if they ever see the light of day. Thank goodness only one other person knows them—BGBC's first male member, Jerome—and what he knows just might destroy him.
As friendships and familyand past and present collide, these book lovers are about to learn that drama can follow you wherever you go—and that big girls do cry…
Diva Reviewer - Lolita Allen
Mr. Weber definitely knows how to keep your eyes glued to the pages. The never ending drama in all of his books will keep me a fan forever. This was a great read that prepares you for the next saga “Torn Between Lovers” Big girls do indeed cry but with BGBCs first male member Jerome you may just see that big boys can cry too.

Permission Slips Sherri Shepherd

Sherri urges women to pursue their most important dreams and to never give up, but also let's readers know that it's okay to give themselves "permission slips" when things don't always work out the way they want them to. As her many fans know, Sherri is never hesitant to speak from the heart, and her bubbly personality shines through in this delightful autobiography.
Diva Reviewer – Tiffany Walker
As women do we ever feel like we should always hold it together no matter what? Do we feel like we are being pulled in so many directions? Do we feel like the tasks outweigh the time of hours within the day? In Sherri Shepherd’s book Permission Slips it specifically speaks to the heart of women. Sherri opens the book with how women are bound by so many things. Women are programmed so much more differently than men are. Sherri makes you feel ok for taking a break every now and then. Sherri’s chapters allow you to realize it is okay to do everything wrong, to pursue your dreams, to take a leap of faith, and to be less than perfect. Sometimes as women we let our own hang-ups, insecurities and past experiences get in the way of moving forward. At times you have to dress up, go out and leave your issues at home. Sometimes you have to listen to the small voice in your head; it just may not be that small. Step outside your comfort zone, because it may end up being the beginning of a new you. Take a permission slip and live, breathe, and embrace new experiences. You never know what will happen until you try.

Diva Reviewer - Lolita Allen
Entrepreneur could be a great story. I feel as though the characters were rushed, the reader is not given enough time to get to know them. The ending will have you wondering what will happen next.

Diva Reviewer – Pam Johnson
Winter Rains is a fantastically written novel. Ms. Wilson’s writing style is quick, easy to read, and she paints a dramatic picture without being too wordy. This story outlines how devastating jealousy and envy can be; especially when the one who convents and then schemes to take what you have is supposed to be your best friend.

Diva Reviewer – Pam Johnson
Illusion of Love is a dramatic, cautionary, tale, which clearly illustrates the pitfalls one can encounter when you refuse to heed the warning signs in relationships. Usually, pretty early on, a person will do and/or say something that will give cause for concern. However, more often than not, we choose to continue on with our “eyes wide shut”! That never ends well. The story’s main character soon discovers this on her journey of dating, and eventually marrying what she thought was the perfect man.

Hail to the Queen of Romance. Francis Ray’s If You Were My Man is another bestseller. Those Dunlap brothers really know how to woo a girl. Natalya’s restaurant “Fontaine” had me craving seafood from beginning to end. This book has enough drama and love to keep you glued to your seat.

Diva Reviewer – Lolita Allen
This is my first read by this Author and I found it to be very enjoyable. There were a few typos. I really started to get into the storyline once Ms. Bree moves to Rome and meets her future love Reuben. His patience and maturity is what Bree really needed in her life. Their partnership in business and love makes this a page turner.

Damaged Kia Dupree Synopsis: Ten-year-old Camille is placed with the Brinkleys, yet another foster family, where she suffers extreme mental and sexual abuse for years, until she's rescued by Chu, a low-level drug dealer who actually loves and looks after her. But when Chu is murdered in a drug deal gone wrong, Camille makes a desperate choice to join a cruel pimp's stable, where she faces her situation and struggles to change her life. DuPree displays an excellent ear for the dialogue, thinking, music and worldviews of her young characters and a talent for setting: the grimy streets, rundown hotels, beatup houses, sweaty house parties and clubs feel real and far above standard street lit. But the ending falls short, as though the author has a sequel in mind.
Diva Reviewer – Tiffany M. Walker
As I read this book I came up with this acronym Don't Assume Men Always Give Everything Deserved This story is about a young girl named Camille who starts off being raised by her grandmother because of her mom's drug habits. After her Nana passes she is shuffled to a few foster homes. In one foster home in particular the dad takes advantage of her( while the Christian mother turns her head) in turn for providing her with extra money and the latest name brand fashions. One day she meets the love of her life and begins to date him as well as pick up some of his bad habits. Chu begins to show Camille the life she never knew she could have. One day her fairy tale turns into a nightmare when her dope boy is murdered. She then realizes how good she has it. Life without him brings her to reality and she has to turn tricks to make ends meet. In the end Camille gets way more than she bargained for. This book is a tale of defeat and triumph and once you get to the the end you will realize to Don't Assume Men Always Give Everything Deserved.

Synopsis: Sonya Lucas lives a fairytale lifestyle.

Quincy is supportive and sensitive to his wife’s physical disability – initially, his refusal to entertain adoption has made their situation even more bleak. When Sonya notices that his interest in her begins to wane, she becomes desperate. The stress of not being able to give birth to the child her husband so desperately wants has left her emotionally devastated. The realization that women are throwing themselves at her husband, makes her willing to do anything to keep the man of her dreams – including raising his “love” child.
Diva Reviewer – Lolita Allen
This was one short, sweet, let’s get straight to the drama kind of book and I liked it a whole lot. I can’t say enough about Mr. Smith’s writing style. He’s off the chain!!

Beater Brian W. Smith

After a few months of dating, the couple found themselves on the fast track to marriage. Unfortunately, their wedding plans were sidetracked by a deep dark secret – their relationship is plagued by domestic violence. Their arguments have become more volatile, and eventually escalate into fights. As their friends and family become more suspicious, Todd struggles to hide the fact that Rachel – the highly educated and sophisticated love of his life – is beating him.
Diva Reviewer - Lolita Allen
Can you say good to the last drop? I was so blown away by this storyline that once I finished it, I wanted to start reading it over again. Mr. Smith has done a remarkable job of showing us that domestic violence does not always start with the man. This book gives you the true meaning of fatal attraction. You will not be able to put it down.

Before the case is over, the four will learn to protect their relationships and to keep their past shortcomings in the past. They will also have to find a way to stop a saboteur bent on winning at all costs, even if it means murder.
Diva Reviewer – Pam Johnson
Categorized as a Romantic Thriller by Author Sean Gardner, Excess Baggage marries the Street Lit and Urban Lit genres. The story is centered around four interesting and well evolved characters. The two male protagonists are Christian James, the lawyer, and his best friend Dorian Daniels who’s an up and coming advertising director. Their love interests are Nona Jones, a registered nurse, and Tara Stevens who’s a record executive. The first 100 or so pages intricately build the background of these characters and how their lives will unavoidably intersect. When all the circumstances that bring each character together finally collide, the collision creates a dramatic, romantic and suspenseful story that’s hard to put down. Excess Baggage was a very enjoyable read with real dialogue and characters who carry around “excess baggage” that makes lasting relationships more difficult. But when each one gets to a point where he/she is willing to open up and let go, they are able to make it to the other side and enjoy they emotional freedom that comes with such a decision.

OMG!!! This book was off the chain on some many levels. I was reading the drama so fast my eyes were about to pop out of my head. Ms. Parks did a wonderful job of using the subject of a famous Author (and very good looking at that) to be intertwined with a gorgeous female fan. You will not be able to put this one down.

Stand The Storm

Washington's Georgetown neighborhood, where the Coatses operate a tailor's shop and laundry, is supposed to be a "promised land" for former slaves but is effectively a frontier town, gritty and dangerous, with no laws protecting black people.
The remarkable emotional energy with which the Coatses wage their daily battles-as they negotiate with their former owner, as they assist escaped slaves en route to freedom, as they prepare for the encroaching war, and as they strive to love each other enough-is what propels Stand the Storm and makes the novel's tragic denouement so devastating.
Diva Reviewer - Gea Foster
Author, Breena Clarke takes you on a journey back to a dark episode in American history. This tale slowly unfolds to reveal the struggle of the Coates family as they navigate the perilous landscape of being freed slaves during the time of slavery. The characters are artfully portrayed and the incorporation of the dialect from the period enhances the authenticity of the story. Stand the Storm is a well crafted narrative that is worth the investment of your time and effort.

Thinking quickly, Nard cleans shop and makes his escape, but not before being spotted by a few neighbors. Not wanting to kill anyone else, he makes a mad dash for the streets but wonders if the witnesses will give up his identity. What he needs now is a plausible alibi. If he doesn't come up with one fast, it could mean life in prison, or death on the streets.
Diva Reviewer – Gea Foster
A botched robbery attempt results in three dead bodies and the murderer needs an alibi. After Daisy is paid to provide the alibi, she finds herself caught between the killers and the cops. Alibi is typical contemporary fiction with an urban backdrop. However, it is easy to read despite some of its contrived drama and its quick plot resolution.
